Ciro Caliendo makes and restores violins, violas and cellos, and he's the last alive violin maker of neapolitan tradition.

Caliendo, musicologist and violin maker, fuonded in 1992 the Documentation organological Centre Vincenzo and Mariano Annarumma, intestated to two violin makers (father and son nowadays not more alive) of great value, of which has been the only student.

The centre aims to protect the assets of high cultural value of which both maestros had been expression. their historical laboratory was a direct emanation of Vincenzo Postiglione's art, maker of '800, and was given to M. Ciro Caliendo so that to continue in the work of his teachers. How effectively is because Caliendo still uses for his work the old forms built in 1922 by Vincenzo Annarumma and paints whose recipes were copied during the apprenticeship Annarumma directly in the laboratory of Vincenzo Postiglione.
